Wet paper with clean water then paint in a fairly

dark wash of Prussian and Cobalt blue adding more

water towards the botton. Keep the board tilted at

a 20 degree angle so that the paint runs down. Take

a piece of kitchen paper and screw into a small area.

Dab hard to make a whiter area, dab more lightly as

you move down to give a slight shadow

you move down with a slight circular movement.

 Mix up blue and Vandyke brown or add madder for

a purple tone. Soften the egdes with clean water

only on the very edges. Clean the brush regularly

 Add more darks to top of sky if necessary - do this

very carefully using as few brush strokes as

necessary
