Composition has some large areas and some with

details. Look at the shapes

Paint bracts with wet in wet mixtures of Cadmium +

yellow. Allow colours to dry before adding more

pigment. Keep colours bright

Add in detail in the flower centre - this important

as it shows the form of the flower. Add texture on

bracts very carefully with colour only slightly darker.

Don't make the lines too regular
